What Serabon collects, and why
Serabon designs homes and pre-checks permit drawings. To do that, and to learn what works, it keeps a little about each visit. This page says what, in plain words.
When you visit
- Usage and session replay. Serabon uses PostHog to see which pages are used, what is clicked, and to replay visits so we can find what is confusing or broken. Everything typed into a field (a brief, an address, an email) is masked in replays, and the drawings themselves are not recorded.
- A visitor record. A random ID in a cookie, so your projects stay yours on this browser, with your approximate location (country, region, city from your connection), device type and the page that sent you.
- What you ask for. The briefs you write and the plans and projects Serabon makes for you, so you can come back to them and so we can improve the designs.
When you give us something
- Your email, when you ask Serabon to keep your plans or contact us.
- Your Google account (name, email, picture) when you sign in with Google. Your visits and replays are then linked to that email.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Serabon never sees your card number; it keeps what you bought, the amount and the receipt.
Your drawings
Drawings you upload for a pre-check are read and not kept. What Serabon read from each sheet (the rooms, sizes, notes and findings) is kept, so checking the same set again is instant and free. CAD sheets are often read entirely in your browser; other sheets are sent to the AI services below to be read.
Who helps run Serabon
- Vercel hosts the site; Turso holds its database.
- OpenAI and Google (Gemini) read drawing sheets and briefs. They receive the sheet or the text being read, nothing else about you.
- PostHog (United States) for usage and session replay; Stripe for payments; Google for sign-in; Esri and the City of Kigali's map for finding a Kigali plot from its address or UPI.
Cookies
Serabon sets cookies for your visitor ID, your sign-in, and your choices (country, language, units, design taste). PostHog sets its own to tell one visit from the next. None are used for advertising.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what Serabon holds about you, email promesseca@gmail.com. Blocking cookies in your browser keeps you out of analytics and replay; the site still works, though your projects won't be remembered.
